Hi There! I'm Kirsty...
... and I have a thing for photography, however it’s taken quite some time to get to this point.
Born and raised in the Illawarra, my parents immersed me in nature from a very young age, teaching me to appreciate natural beauty. This lead to my desire to capture treasured moments with family, friends and pets. My passion for the art of photography grew during high school when I followed my heart rather than my head and chose Photography over Maths for the HSC.
After high school I decided I wasn’t quite ready to leave my home town, and so enrolled in a Certificate IV in Photoimaging at TAFE. This was a time of transition to the digital age, however this did not dampen my spirits, as my focus and curiosity turned to portraiture.
In 2007 I made the move to Lismore where I completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science/ Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management, hoping to find my career direction. In the process I found my wonderful partner. I moved to Coffs in 2011, and we recently bought our first house in our own little piece of paradise (with our furbabies).
With over 10 years experience working for photography studios (including Meraki Images, formerly Emma Rhoades Photography), as well as myself, I can safely say that I love natural, beautiful portraiture that captures the true emotions and story of each family or individual.
An image should capture memories that will live on in your family for many generations ... I look forward to capturing your's.
